Greeting From the Bishop

Greetings from the Diocese of Kamloops. I have placed this site under the protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our principal patroness.

August 4, 2009 was the 150th anniversary of the death of our secondary patron, Saint John Marie Vianney. He spent his life as a parish priest showing the people of his parish the way to kindness, the way to God.  I hope that the messages and information we present through this web-site will help you and others to come to know, love and serve God.

I hope that as you work your way through this site you may learn about the Church in this area of British Columbia—the priests and people, the parishes and activities. Hopefully you will want to come and see us sometime!

Yours in Christ,
Most Reverend David J. Monroe

Bishop of Kamloops
