St. James School is helping the under privileged in their community by way of a "Blessing Box."
Submitted by Mrs. Marley Wournell:
We are looking forward to bringing our community together by helping the less fortunate. Our Grade 6 class at St. James school has designated our time to building and filling our blessing box. With your help and the help from other businesses we are hoping to give to whomever is in need.
Blessing Boxes are popping up in communities across the country as people find creative ways to help others who struggle with homelessness poverty and hunger.
A Blessing Box is a homemade structure where people leave donated goods for others to pick up anonymously. Located in a common area, people are filling them with items that will help those in need—everything from non-perishable food items, clothing(under and over) to toiletries/hygiene products. These donated essentials help fulfill short-term basic needs for those who don’t always have access to them.
With your help and the help of other businesses in our community, we are looking forward to this project.
