This year the OBLATE KENYAN MISSION CELEBRATES 28TH ANNIVERSARY.
The Missionary Oblates were central to the building of the Church in the Kamloops Diocese. They ministered in every corner of this Diocese before it was ever erected as a Diocese. The Oblates invite you to support through your prayers and financial partnership the new growth in their mission in Kenya. The Oblates were pleased to celebrate the ordination of three Kenyans to the priesthood and one to the order of Deaconate, in March 2025.
They are seeking partners, who walk with them sharing in the mission together. Pope Francis, in his encyclical “Fratelli Tutti” (Brothers and Sisters All) speaks of solidarity with the poor and marginalized in our world. He states that “Solidarity means much more than engaging in sporadic acts of generosity. It means thinking and acting in terms of community.” It is an invitation to invite someone to figuratively sit at our family table every day through a pledge we make to share what means we have. There are no administration fees, as the Oblates themselves cover these costs. Every cent of every dollar you give goes directly to the missions’ projects.
