Pastoral Assignments effective July 16, 2026
With heartfelt thanksgiving, we are pleased to announce the following pastoral appointments. We warmly welcome these priests as they take up new responsibilities in service of God’s people. We also invite the faithful in the affected parishes to extend prayerful support and a generous welcome to their new pastors and parish leaders.
Rev. Paul Cuong Do – Parochial Vicar, St. James Parish, Vernon, and its associated missions.
Rev. Swann Kim – Parochial Administrator, Sacred Heart Parish, Merritt, and its associated missions.
Rev. Brendan Mgbenwelu – Parochial Vicar, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Kamloops, and its associated missions.
Rev. Henry Nwaimo – Parochial Administrator, St. Ann’s Parish, Quesnel, and its associated missions.
Rev. Francis Onyealusi – Parochial Administrator, St. Jude’s Parish, 100 Mile House, and its associated missions.
Rev. Ignatius Opara – Parochial Vicar, Sacred Heart Parish, Williams Lake, and its associated missions.
As we entrust these new assignments to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, let us also unite as one diocesan family in prayer for an increase of vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life.
