June 16, 2026
With gratitude to God and appreciation for his many years of priestly ministry, we announce the retirement of Fr. Fred Weisbeck effective June 30, 2026.
As Fr. Fred begins this new chapter of life, we thank him for his dedicated service to the people of God. While retirement marks the conclusion of his active pastoral ministry, it also opens a new season of rest, reflection, and continued witness to Christ and His Church.
Beginning July 1, Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Blind Bay will be served by Fr. Emmanuel Onumadu of St. Joseph’s Parish, Salmon Arm, and Blessed Sacrament Parish in Chase will be served by Fr. Ajin George of Holy Family Parish.
Please keep Fr. Fred in your prayers as he embarks on this new chapter. Let us give thanks to God for the gift of his priesthood and his generous service to the Church. We also ask your prayers for the parish communities of Blessed Sacrament and Our Lady of the Lake, and for Fr. Emmanuel and Fr. Ajin as they assume these additional pastoral responsibilities.
